Roger J. Evanina ’52, 89, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. He was the husband of Ingrid Evanina.

Roger Evanina, age 89, of Lansing, Illinois, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening October 4, 2023. Roger was predeceased by his parents, Metro and Victoria, and his son Metro. He is survived by his wife Ingrid and his son Gunther.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, October 12, 2023 DIRECTLY at Holy Cross Cemetery in the chapel, 801 Michigan City Road, Calumet City, Illinois. A service will be held at 10 am.

Roger was a loving and caring husband, father and friend. Roger worked as a civil engineer, supervising large industrial construction projects in the steel, oil refinery, and other industries. He was active in the community, volunteering to coach youth baseball and upgrade local playing fields. He was also an AARP volunteer assisting with the preparation of tax returns for the elderly.
