Robert V. Stonesifer, Sr. ’45, 96, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024. He was the husband of Janice Stonesifer.
Mr. Robert Vernon Stonesifer, Sr., also known as “Stoney,” passed away on June 15, 2024, in Palm Bay, Florida, at the age of 96.
Mr. Stonesifer, a loving husband to the late Janice E. Stonesifer, was a dedicated father and grandfather. He is survived by his son, Robert V. Stonesifer, Jr. (Teri), his daughter Jill Stonesifer Teasley (Steve), grandchildren Margi Herb, Heather Fourman, Elijah Fourman and two great grandsons, Zachery and Jaxon Herb.
Born on August 2, 1927, in Mechanicsburg, PA, Mr. Stonesifer led a remarkable life. After graduating from the Milton Hershey Industrial School, he proudly served in the Army Air Corp from 1945 to 1948. After his military service, he pursued a successful career as a professional carpenter and builder, eventually establishing his own business and earning a reputation as the best in his field.
Throughout his life, Mr. Stonesifer prioritized his family first. He resided in Bridgeton, NJ, for over 40 years before retiring to Florida. His hobbies included building and flying model airplanes, coaching Little League, and supporting his children’s interests.
Mr. Stonesifer and his wife Janice worshipped at Heritage Baptist Church in West Melbourne, FL.
