Robin Ferrer ’00 – Career Accomplishment
In February 2021, Robin was named system vice president for emergency services at Mount Sinai Health System, an integrated health system committed to providing distinguished care, conducting transformative research, and advancing biomedical education. Structured around seven hospital campuses and a single medical school, the Health System has an extensive ambulatory network and a range of inpatient and outpatient services.
Nicholas Allanach ’97 – Community Service
Inspired by the mission and vision of Milton and Catherine Hershey, Nicholas has a passion for service. While living and working in New York City, he taught a U.S. Citizenship and English language class in the Bronx through the Catholic Charities Community Services of the Archdiocese of New York. He taught 10 students English language classes alongside U.S. civics and history for 15 weeks.
Larry Klomps, M.D. ’08 – Academic Excellence
While maintaining high academic standards for himself, Larry also has demonstrated a commitment to lifelong education in the medical field. He is currently a resident physician in diagnostic radiology at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, and he is interested in pursuing fellowship training in cardiovascular interventional radiology. He previously completed a surgical internship at University of Colorado in Denver.
Student Achievement Winners
Samuel James – Career Accomplishment
Samuel is focused on preparing for his future. He plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate with an emphasis in asset management. In preparation for his professional aspirations, Sam has been a corporate intern with Hershey Trust Company and an intern with the MHS Finance Department.
Elijah Espaillat – Community Service
Elijah Espaillat describes his experience with community service as rewarding. He has participated in service programs at MHS and communities as part of the MHS domestic service program. Elijah described projects that stand out to him, assisting the elderly in Norristown, Pennsylvania, and packaging food for the homeless.
Lydia Lausch – Academic Excellence
In selecting Lydia Lausch to receive this award, Senior Division administrators noted she maintains a high level of academic achievement. Beyond academics, she has assisted at Hershey Community Gardens, helped revitalize rooms at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church, and volunteered cleaning public roadways.
